Ambient occlusion (AO) darkens areas where ambient light cannot easily reach, such as crevices, corners, and contact points between surfaces.

ambientOcclusion

Type: float Default: 1.0 Range: [0.0, 1.0]

AO intensity multiplier.

  • 0.0 = Fully occluded (maximum dark)
  • 1.0 = No occlusion
  • 0.5 = 50% occlusion

Type: texture2d_ref Default: null Format: Grayscale, Linear color space
